The last light stretches thin across the clouds, painting them in molten tones before night takes over. You can almost feel the air cooling as the colour fades.

Shot across the remote islands of Raja Ampat, this series captures the brief, glowing moments between day and night, when the ocean mirrors the sky and everything feels suspended.

Each image was taken after long days on the water, as the heat softened and the world slipped into colour. The air turns still. Birds trace their final arcs home. Light gathers in unexpected places: on the surface of the sea, along the curve of a wave, behind a line of palms.

Dusk in Raja is never the same twice. It shifts and breathes, as if the islands themselves are exhaling. These photographs hold that quiet transition, that sense of pause before night begins.

Each image is printed locally with The Film Safe on Hahnemühle German Etching, a rich, heavyweight 310gsm, matte fine art paper with a subtle texture and warm tone. This paper enhances contrast and detail beautifully, especially in the deep blacks and fine textures that define this series.

Please handle all of my prints with extreme care. Always handle your print with clean, dry hands or white cotton gloves to avoid oils or smudges on the surface.

Keep prints away from direct sunlight to preserve colour and prevent fading.

For long-term display, frame under UV-protective glass or acrylic.

Use acid-free mounts and backing to protect the paper.

Store unframed prints flat in a dry, cool environment away from humidity.

Clean frames or glass gently with a soft, dry cloth—avoid sprays directly on the print.
